Father’s Friday

Well, that is another day at work done and dusted. Hubster met me from work and we went to Hilltop Farm in Hunningham to buy our weekend fruit and vegetables. The weather was so beautiful we sat in the patio area and had americanos. My husband had an eccles cake fall into the order, and he ate it so quickly when it arrived, it must have been delicious.

I took some pictures of the beautiful roses and the aliums and lavender looked good together in the borders around the seating area. I love aliums even when they have passed their flowering stage. We brought our vegetables, fruit, a crusty loaf, meat for a weekend barbeque and cooking apples as I have promised my husband an apple pie for Sunday pudding. I always buy more than I intend to, but the food is good. I loved looking at all the cakes in glass domes, there was one called a Pimms cake a Victoria sponge covered in strawberries, mint and cucumber, just the thing for the sunny weekend we are promised.

While we were there we popped into The Craft Studio which is full of local craft and craft kits. I spotted a few pictures I liked so, I just have to persuade my husband that he wants them too.
